Introduction:
The process of
converting alternating voltage to direct voltage at the output is known as
rectification. We are using four diodes in the form of a Bridge.During each half
cycle two diodes are active or in forward bias region. We also use the resistive
load first and the inductive load.
Procedure:
·
Install the power supply, the resistive
loads, the DC voltmeter/ammeter and the power diodes module in the workstation.
·
Make sure that the main power switch of
the power supply is set to 0. Set the voltage control knob to 0. Connect the
power supply to a three-phase wall receptacle.
·
Plug the Power supply line cord into a
wall receptacle. Set the rocker switch
of the power supply to the 1(on position).
·
Make sure that the toggle switches on the
resistive Load are all set to the 0.
·
In the last observe the three phase
waveform, and measure the output parameters.
Precautions:
1. Make
sure that the main power switch of the power supply is set to the 0 (OFF)
Position.
2. Make
the circuit neat and clean.
3. Make
sure that the toggle switches on the resistive load are all set to the 0 (open)
positions.
4. Take
the reading very carefully.

Conclusion:
We see the process of full wave rectification using bridge
rectifier under different loads. For both positive half and negative half cycle
diodes conduct the current and the output comes.
